Quarterly Update
These first two quarters of the year have been painfully exciting for me. I made the full commitment to self-publishing, including creating this website, setting up an account for one of the publishers I plan on using, and securing a cover artist. I have not been able to write as much as I would like to — I phrase I fear I’ve used far too much, and hope that these updates will help provide me some accountability in that regard — between these developments and obtaining a secondary day-time job.
Most of my updates for these quarters have all been focused on my debut novel: Body of Hate. I received the copy-edited version from my editor and, after much stalling, have begun reviewing the edits. I’m a little more than halfway through and excited about the progress.
By the end of the quarter, I plan on having completed the edit review and at least begun doing a final round of edits. I’m incredible when it comes to procrastinating, but July would be cutting it pretty close to my planned release in October.
I’ll admit, I’m most excited to receive my cover art, which should be completed this quarter. Stay tuned for teasers and the eventual reveal — it’s gonna be sick.
I will also be looking more into creating ARC signups. Check out Body of Hate on the Pending Projects page and if you think this is something you’d be interested in, feel free to use the Contact form to let me know. I’ll be able to send you the signup once it’s put together.
I should also put some more thought into a newsletter, and maybe setting up a linktree.
This first update is rather short, but if I’m being completely transparent, it’s because I’m writing it — and the previous two blog posts — the night before website launch. (I told you — incredible at procrastinating. But also, maybe not so incredible considering I just tried to type procasting.) That’s all I’ve got for now though, folks.
Thanks for reading.
